Utah/July 4 Half-Birthday

Marlowe spent the past week in Park City, Utah. During his visit, he celebrated his half-birthday on the 4th of July.

Marlowe delighted in seeing his friendly neighborhood muskrat swimming in the pond near Grandma Sherry's Utah home. Here's a picture of the muskrat taking a break from swimming.

Return to Waikiki

Marlowe departed Lanai to return to Waikiki for dad's conference. Before leaving, Marlowe visited his new friend Leila, daughter of dad's friend Joe from college.

Leila's home featured a number of delights, including back yard reptiles.

Lanai

Marlowe enjoyed Lanai a great deal.

and made wonderful messes with ice cream and rainbow sprinkles.

After a couple of nights in Waikiki, Marlowe headed to Lanai.

Marlowe was pleasantly surprised by the hotel arrival kit, which included a stuffed animal named Douglas, sponge letters spelling his name, and a Marlowe-sized robe and slippers.

Hawaii

Marlowe spent the first week of June in Hawaii. He started off in Waikiki (part of Honolulu), then proceeded to Lanai (where his parents honeymooned), then returned to Waikiki for his dad's conference.

Utah

We had a great time in Utah last week. Marlowe spent a few days taking skiing lessons, and on Friday he hit the slopes with mom. Here he is hanging out, riding the lift, and skiing with mom.

Marlowe Turns 4

Marlowe had his 4th birthday party yesterday. All of his classmates from Miquon were able to make it, as well as some old friends and his cousin Teddy.

As you can see, Marlowe had a great time.

Christmas!

Marlowe had a great Christmas. We hosted Christmas dinner at our house, where Gee Gee, Pop, Uncle G, Aunt Deqa, Grandma Sherry, Bia, Boomer, and dad's friend from high school and college Evan joined us to celebrate.

Marlowe was very excited about the many gifts that Santa and numerous loved ones left him overnight.

Unfortunately, the family was able to get together for just one photo, moments prior to Marlowe's bedtime.
