Visiting Pop-Pop

Now that he's over six weeks old, Marlowe can finally venture out into the world a bit. Yesterday he set out to meet his great-grandfather, Albert Walker, Sr., who's known to most of us simply as Pop-Pop. By our calculation, Pop-Pop was born more than 35,200 days prior to Marlowe's birth, exactly 5030 weeks before his most recent great-grandchild (both were born on Friday).

Marlowe Prepares for Utah

Marlowe has his first trip to Utah in March and he wanted to try on his snowsuit to get ready for the inaugural trip. He is still a little small for the snowsuit so he is working hard to get bigger so he can wear it in Utah and play in the snow.

Marlowe and Aunt Liz

Marlowe spent the morning playing games and learning how to smile with Aunt Liz.

A Major Milestone

Grandma Asbury visited yesterday and showed us a major milestone in Marlowe's development. While getting some tummy time, Marlowe lifted his head up and turned it over! This is the first of many milestones in Marlowe's life.

Asleep at Last

This video captures an occurrence that has become all-too-rare of late: Marlowe sleeping. At some point over the past few days, Marlowe made the executive decision to cut his daily sleep significantly, to half the amount of hours a newborn is supposed to sleep. And not only has Marlowe reduced his overall daily sleep hours, he has trimmed his average slumber from two to four hours as recently as a week ago, to 45 minutes to an hour now. Desperation set in circa 2:00 Tuesday morning. We hopped on the internet looking for a solution, and a half hour later had purchased the Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing shown here. It arrived this morning, and as you can see, it works great (he's now been asleep for nearly three hours); at least for now.
