Fire Safety

Inspired by a fire safety presentation at school, Marlowe visited a local firehouse on Thursday with Gee Gee and Pop. As always, he had a wonderful time, and he learned a number of valuable lessons. He particularly enjoyed going behind the wheel of a firetruck.

Strasburg Railroad

His parents away at a wedding, Marlowe spent last weekend with Gee Gee and Pop. On Saturday, joined by Bia and Boomer, they visited the Strasburg Railroad, near Lancaster, PA. Marlowe had a wonderful time. He particularly enjoyed riding in an old-fashioned buggy and operating a hand-propelled mini train. Best of all, Marlowe came away from his trip with two new hats: an classic engineer's cap and his first conductor's cap.

Ocean City

Marlowe spent last week in Ocean City, NJ. Aunt Brooke, Gee Gee, and Pop visited during the week, and Marlowe was also able to see Aunt Liz, Uncle Rick, and Teddy, who were in Ocean City visiting Uncle Rick's parents.




Marlowe took great interest in this animatronic band, though their lack of any instrument save one banjo left him puzzled.


But the highlight of the trip for Marlowe was the Thomas the Tank Engine train ride, which he insisted upon enjoying several times.

Gone Fishin'

Marlowe spent last weekend with Gee Gee and Pop, while Mom and Dad were away in New Orleans for the weekend celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary. On Sunday, Gee Gee and Pop took Marlowe fishing, and were joined by Bia and Boomer. Marlowe caught three fish. Some highlights of the day appear below.

Asbury Family Reunion at Sawgrass

The main events of the Asbury Family Reunion took place at the Clubhouse at the TPC at Sawgrass. Following a Storyteller's Tour, we had a fantastic dinner, hosted by Uncle Bill, Aunt Alice, and Cousin Audra. The following day we came together again at the Clubhouse to take some pictures and to visit the storied 17th hole, famous for its island green. We departed the next day.

Asbury Family Reunuon

The 2010 Asbury Family Reunion is underway. This year it is at the Sawgrass Marriott, just outside of Jacksonville, Florida.

Happy 4th of July

It's been a hectic past few months (which have included a moving to a new house), but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Independence Day, which also happens to be Marlowe's half-birthday. Here he is celebrating America and his half-special day.

Marlowe received his first bike earlier this week. Here he is yesterday taking it for a spin at a local basketball court.

That's Amazing!

Marlowe enjoyed brunch with his parents, Gee Gee, and Pop at the Philadelphia Museum of Art this Easter Sunday. In something of a surprise to all of them, he was struck by the below painting, which he observed on the way to the coat/stroller check in the museum. "That's amazing!" he exclaimed as he looked on for five minutes.
