Ice Fishing

Marlowe, Dad, Gee Gee, and Pop visited Uncle G in Minneapolis over the weekend. The central event was an ice fishing trip to Mille Lacs Lake. Though we didn't succeed in catching fish to the extent we would have liked, a fantastic time was had by all.

A view of the landscape. Those dots in the background are the numerous ice-fishing cabins on the lake.

Though reluctant at first, Marlowe soon grew comfortable.

Here he peers down his fishing hole, replete with optimism.

When ordinary measures failed, Marlowe sought to attract fish to his hook by way of inquisition.

After we finished fishing, we made time for a little fun. Here Marlowe is frolicking on the ice, with Uncle G in pursuit.
